But aside from a few engaging new songs, this is a strictly a B list musical and sad to say, the cast of the production now at the Toronto Centre is mainly B list as well. It’s no great surprise that Parton’s 12 new songs for 9 to 5: The Musical should have won her a Tony nomination she’s always been a talented songwriter.
